Be VERY VERY careful when it comes to your website SEO (search engine optimization) and who you allow to manage it for you. Several times a day I get spam email, spam blog comments and sometimes even phone calls offering me SEO deals. I get promised to rank higher on Google if I will just sign up for their monthly plan. DOESN’T THIS STRIKE YOU WEIRD? I AM A WEB DESIGNER!! WHY WOULD SEO PEOPLE TRY TO SELL ME SERVICE? I have one simple answer for you…. THEY FOUND ME ON GOOGLE!!!! Hahahahaha! Isn’t that what they are trying to sell me? Chances are, if you are receiving email or blog comments, it is because that person was able to find you online…. whether they are selling you something or not.

I strongly caution you…

DO NOT respond to email messages offering SEO services. Sometimes they are fraudulent and most of the time they are trying to sell you something you don’t really need. TRUST ME ON THIS.

I am really concerned about SEO on my site. What should I do?

1. Make sure your website is built with most search engine friendly management system out there… which is WordPress.
2. Make sure you have an “interior blog site” also powered by WordPress.
3. Add blog posts consistently, filling them out regularly and as thoroughly as you can.
4. Get traffic to your site in other cost effective ways, like facebook and email marketing.
